As of this point, I don’t have much to say about Florida State’s bowl game against Kentucky in the Music City Bowl on December 31st. I am happy that this year FSU has shown some signs of improvement from last year and I’m sure it will be a good game against a respectable Kentucky team.
Bobby’s fresh off a one year extension (and I will continue to state that Bobby will be retiring soon if this “extension” isn’t proof enough), has something to prove going into next year; much like last year’s game in domination of UCLA.
Will FSU do the come in with the same focus it has in big games past? Or play sloppy as they have in every loss this year? It all remains to be seen. I do know that though this game isn’t seen as significant to others, it does have a lot of meaning.
FSU at this point is boasting a very impressive recruiting class (thanks Jimbo!) and needs to show that glory days are ahead. Also, those players looking to go pro have to use this game as a springboard into generating buzz before the NFL combine.
I’m sure I’ll have much more to say later but I do have a few questions I’ll be wondering about until the game. Will Weatherford continue to show improvement? Will Preston Parker continue to impress? Will the other WR’s actually show up? Will the defense play sloppy? How will FSU defend against Andre Woodson?
But until the game,….GO NOLES!
